• Question: do users understand expand/limit actions?

• Experimental design: each user does one task with SenseMaker, one task with a baseline system

  • Automated logging of actions
  • Structured interview at end of session

• Subjects: 5 (CS backgrounds)

• Results:

  • 50% of actions for 4/5 subjects were expands or limits
  • Interviews showed understanding of the concepts
