Prototype of a Designator-Based Interface

Abstract: The current prototype mediates between the user and a variety of heterogeneous sources (including WebCrawler, Lycos, InfoSeek's Web database, Dialog's 275 database, and Folio's Inspec). Its goal is to aid users in doing interactive sense making and analysis of the result descriptions returned by these sources.
