Abstract: The goal of this report is to succinctly refine and prioritize the research agenda for digital libraries research, and to describe the infrastructure that is required to support this research. The report is based on discussions at a two day digital libraries workshop, held May 18-19 at McLean, Virginia. The workshop was sponsored by the Information Infrastructure Technology and Applications Task Group of the High Performance Computing and Communications program; it was attended by about 60 leading digital libraries researchers and representatives from almost all relevant funding organizations. This is a strawman report -- for discussion only.
