Some Top-Down Ideas About Payment and Copyright

Abstract: In this paper, I concentrate on the economics of document retrieval, assuming that the library patron already has a citation in hand. Of course, there will be other for-profit services such as searching in the library. The high-level view of a payment agent presented here should not rule out any payment options.
